FASTRACK™ ACTIVATION AT FASHION COLLEGES – ELIZABETH GALLOWAY

On 10 June Foschini AFI Fastrack™ in collaboration with Cape Town Fashion Council presented to over 100 design students at Elizabeth Galloway. The presentation commenced at 12pm and ended at 2pm. The objective was to publicly announce and congratulate the 6 Graduate designers from Elizabeth Galloway who made it to the final round of showcasing their designs atFoschini AFI Fastrack™. The primary objective was to present Fastrack to the rest of the students. AFI gave a presentation on the purpose of this initiative, their role and the planned activations they have instore for the students who will be attending i.e. other activities on the day either than the fashion shows (various seminars which will be facilitated by key industry stakeholders, exhibitions by 5 fashion design institutions, entertainment etc).Foschini’s presentation gave the students a better understanding of various divisions that make up the organisation as well as their role in the initiative.

CTFC gave an industry overview and our role in Foschini AFI Fastrack™.

Overall we were inspired by the talent at Elizabeth Galloway and the students’ passion for fashion and the industry. We spotted several inspiring fashion trend setters amongst the students. This was refreshing as these are SA’s future fashion designers. We look forward to seeing what designs they come up with once they graduate from college.

We would like to thank Elizabeth Galloway for hosting us and getting the students together for the presentations. Not forgetting the delicious cup cakes that were decorated in edible miniature bows, buttons, mannequins, scissors, measuring tape.
